History

The story started in 2000 with Cyberleagues, a first gen tournament organization software used to publish results and rankings of major esports competitions. The next step was to create the ESWC in 2003, building legitimacy as professional organizers and developing new sets of tools to improve the organization. Iterative improvements on the tools would eventually lead to the conception of Toornament.

Toornament goes live and enables the organization of more than 10,000 esports tournaments, amateur and professional, in its first year.

2015

Toornament teams up with Webedia, a global media company, to develop esports operations for brands and game publishers.

2016

The cap of 100,000 tournaments organized on Toornament is reached.

2018

The Gears Esports platform is developed for PGL and Microsoft to provide a full white-label platform using the Toornament technology.

2019

Toornament powers up esports operations for Riot Games, Red Bull, Ubisoft, Mastercard, Bethesda and more.

2020

Toornament establishes itself as the leading B2B SaaS solution for esports promoters and game publishers. It becomes a full-fledged company and is joined by the Trust Esport investment fund.

2021

Toornament unveils its SaaS offers dedicated to professionals, and launches the first website builder to create a white label competition site without a line of code.

2022

With its Platform offer, Toornament is revolutionizing the creation of white label tournament platforms by allowing all professionals to have their own platform to develop their brand in gaming.
