Description
Welcome to the Maties Esports Challenge for FIFA21, supported by Puma!
This event is open to Stellenbosch University students and staff members and has a total of 64 slots available. The tournament is split into two stages: Group Stages and the Playoffs.
The Group Stages will consist Best-of-1 matches! The top 2 players from each group will proceed to the Playoffs. The length of the group stages depends on the number of registered competitors.
The Playoffs are a single elimination bracket which consists of Best-of-3 matches. The player to win two matches first will proceed to the next round of the single elimination bracket.
Should the third game be tied, extra time is to be played and should the game still be tied after extra time the game will go to penalties.
The Group stages will take place on the 17th of April and will begin at 11AM.
Games will run throughout the day until all group stage matches are completed.
The Playoffs bracket will take place on the 18th of April and will begin at 11AM.
This bracket will also run through to completion.
PSN IDs will be posted in the Discord channel so that you can find and add your opponent prior to your match.
