Description
The LIVE LEAGUE will run for 6 weeks from April to June and combine weekly matchups and a tournament that leads to the playoffs and Finals.
STRUCTURE: The 4 week regular season will begin on April 18th, comprising 3 weeks of matchups and one weekend tournament. All 12 teams will compete in a minimum of 18 games, including 12 regular-season games and a guaranteed 6 tournament games. Tournament results will NOT count toward a team’s regular season record, but will serve as a tiebreaker for the postseason. Playoff seeding will be determined by regular season standings. Throughout the season, teams will be competing for a $50 Microsoft Gift Card Tournament prize (Each) and a playoff championship.
Weekly matchups will take place on Fridays and Saturday with designated time frames. (Sundays as well ONLY for Tournament)
TOURNAMENT: The tournament will have a pool structure, with ALL 12 teams competing over one weekend. The top four teams in each group will advance to the single-elimination playoff rounds. The tournament will have a prize pool of $50 Microsoft Gift Card each.
PLAYOFFS/FINALS: The playoffs will run for 2 weeks. The top 7 teams with the best regular-season records and the winner of the tournament are guaranteed playoff spots. If the tournament winner has one of the league’s top eight records, then the top eight teams will make the playoffs.
The quarterfinal & Semi-Final will be best-of-two elimination play. The LIVE RUN Finals will be best-of-three.
