The ASUS Republic of Gamers Dota 2 Cup is brought to you by ASUS in partnership with Mettlestate. Watch South Africa's best Dota 2 sides fight it out for R55,000 in prize-pool over the course of two months of what is sure to be jam-packed action!
The prize pool breakdown is as follows:
1. FIRST PLACE : R30 000.00
2. SECOND PLACE : R17 500.00
3. THIRD PLACE : R 7 500.00
The initial stage is a qualifier round to determine the 16 teams. This is played out in a single-elimination bracket until the round of 16 is reached.
Once the teams have been decided they will be split up into group to play a best-of-one, round-robin stage. One the groups have been played out, the top two teams from each group will enter into the finals weekend. The group stage will start on 24 June and run through to 5 August.
The Finals weekend, set for the 25th and 26th of August, will see the final few teams enter into a double elimination bracket to fight it out for a piece of that R55,000 prize pool.
All matches will be streamed on http://www.mettlestate.com , so there is no excuse to miss out on some top local Dota 2 action!
