Something terrible has happened... an evil entity known as The Torment has entrapped all we hold dear in a veil of darkness. Now, it will pit the best teams in Rocket League against each other. It is staging battles in different realms, each with its own haunts and terrors. The teams will be fighting for more than just trophies... they will be fighting for their souls. Will you become a Revenant, breaking free of evil's grasp but forever haunted by its touch? Or will you fight your way below into the deep... and proclaim yourself as Usurper of the Underworld? The choice is yours.

Your path through The Torment's realms will lead you to one of two Final Nightmares: The Realm of Revenants, and the Underworld.

If you emerge victorious in the Realm of Revenants, you will rise from this wretched place, and all the world shall know your plight.

If you emerge victorious in the Underworld, the Nightmare will be yours, and you will be crowned Usurper of the Underworld.
